Anyone else feel a real buzz at this time of year? The leaves are curling into amber crisps, the still-bright days are cooler (and more manageable than the insane heatwave that summers in the UK now regularly brings), and the new school term is a few feet away from knocking on the front door. I love it! It's a time of new beginnings and for exploring new projects despite being the Earth's organic cascade into rest and Winter-time.
Whether it's being the child of a school teacher or if it's simply residual school-kid-enthusiasm for a whole new academic year ahead this time of year excites my brain cogs into rotation and I daydream about what the next twelve months might bring. Similarly this feeling also hits me at new year and then again in Spring time (what can I say? I'm a bona fide project-starter. Finishing projects however...) My biggest urge right now is to buy a new pencil case and forge ahead with my study plans for 2019/2020. At this time I genuinely feel I can achieve anything and right now, that anything happens to be a really good grade for my degree. Perhaps I'll check back in with a follow-up post in Springtime as to the reality of that achievement. But for now, let's all embrace new beginnings, sewing seeds and striking the match of deliciously unknown inspiration.
